Drift Chapel |  A Solitary Place for the Soul

He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.”   |  Psalm 23:2–3
Drift Chapel is an architectural visualization project created by bairdesign.art
A quiet sanctuary floating in the heart of a forest lake — a place where silence speaks and solitude heals.
Inspired by minimalism and brutalist forms, this concrete chapel merges spiritual contemplation with serene natural beauty.
We designed and visualized this piece with attention to mood, light, and symbolism.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
The chapel was designed as a metaphor for drifting away from the noise of the world — both physically and spiritually.
The water isolates, yet connects. The concrete shelters, yet opens through the cross. Every design choice was made to reflect stillness, presence, and reflection.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10
